Most Newcomers Kitchen and Cooking projects are funded by the government. This might be on local, regional, national or even European Level like our own ERASMUS+ NIK-project.

Funding Newcomers kitchen sessions for the long run is a great challenge. Newcomers Kitchen in Toronto, an import inspirational project for our own NIK-project, has decided to take some time mapping out a broader plan for the future.

How can we bring the idea to more newcomers, in more communities? How do we measure the profound impact the project has had, and how do we package up what we have learned so that others might benefit from it? The work to answer these questions requires a stable source of funding, and this is what we hope to focus on in the coming months.
